Thought is a seed, impregnated by our Lord
And nourished in the womb of our mind.
It grows as a tree, and we call it our world,
Bearing fruits, of every different kind.
Everyone tries to climb on this tree
To test the fruit that he desires.
And as soon as he tests that one,
He longs for the one that is higher.
Time and again he picks and tests,
Yet unfulfilled remains his desire.
From the day of birth he starts to pick
Till the day he is put on the pyre.

” બીજ ”
વિચાર તો બીજ છે, જે શ્રી હરિએ વાવીયું
‘ને મન તણા ગર્ભમાં તે વિકાસ પામે
આ બીજના વૃક્ષને સહુએ જગત કહયું
વાસના ફળ તે ઉપર નીત નવિન લાગે.
સર્વ જન તે વૃક્ષ ઉપર ચઢવા મથે
ઇચ્છી એ ફળ તણો સ્વાદ કરવા.
ચાખી ફળ એક તે બીજું જરૂર ચહે
‘ને કરે યત્ન તે વધુ ઉપર ચઢવા.
ચાખે ફળ ફરી ફરી પણ ન ધરાય તે કદી
ન વળે જીવન ભર તેને કોઇ શાતા,
જન્મથી શરૂ કરી તે સદાય ચઢતો રહે
રોકાય તે કેવળ મૃત્યુ થાતા.
